PI4TUE in the NAC / RSGB activity contest

The FT857 (with CW and SSB filters and DSP unit) and the logcomputer running TACLOG in a dosbox under Linux,
wwconvers and DX-cluster.
Taclog runs very nice in a dosbox and Linux is so superior to windows on an older PC.



144 MHz Contest October 2005

No special conditions but another strategy did give us a new record. We worked 64 stations in more directions.

144 MHz Contest March 2006

Guest operator Jan SM4HFI worked SK6JX, SK7CY and SK7MW, and a number of OZ and G stations. Poor conditions, hrd SM7UYS at the end of the contest but could not get his attention.

144 MHz Contest June 2006: tropo DX with QRP

Just 5 minutes to go before the contest starts, "Bang", a flash over in the 4CX350 PA. Checking the power supply, again three flash overs. So, this contest had to be run as a "QRP" contest with the FT857 with 50 Watts output power. But the tropo conditions were perfect to the north and we worked in the NAC contest as DX: LA0BY JO59IX 1005 km, LA1T JO59FE 918 km, LA2Z JO59EJ 938 km, LA3BAA JO38QB 747 km, LA7H JO29PK 890 km and SM6OEW JO67DA 763 km. And of course all the usual stations in SM and OZ. Only LA1BM could not hear our low power because of the huge pile up.




Contest results

We started to participate in the Nordic Activity Contest, taking also a lot of QSO's in the UKAC, as a student activity. A very nice contest with good activity and nice DX. We missed the Januari and May contests. We worked the following Nordic and UK stations on 2 meters:
